We offer one of the most comprehensive children and family photography services in the industry and our eye for the artistic and attention to detail allows us to create memories for you that will last a lifetime.

Based in New Delhi, India, Shipra & Amit Chhabra Photography was founded under the notion that children grow up so fast and we tend to miss the little things they do and the changes they make in our everyday life. We need to capture those moments, those magical memories so we can look back upon them and realize just how important those fleeting moments really are.

We are professional photographers that create newborn, children, maternity and family portfolios in the advanced photo studio. Our 15 years of international experience shows in every photograph that we create.

After spending over 15 years in the United States and United Kingdom, we relocated back to India in 2013 and launched Shipra & Amit Chhabra Photography in South Delhi.

Shipra & Amit launched their 2nd studio in Chandigarh in 2021 where they also service clients in Ludhiana.

Started in 2013 …

In 2013, we launched Shipra and Amit Chhabra Photography with the goal to offer the best portfolio services in Delhi Gurgaon Noida (NCR) India. Our goal is not just to be the best portrait photographer in Delhi – we want to create a little more joy in this big ol’ world by capturing memories that will last you a lifetime.

Through our work done on newborn and children photography, our hope is that when you look at the pictures on your walls, go through your family albums, or share your greeting cards, that you smile, and your friends smile, and your hearts and heads are filled with that warm-fuzzy feeling that sends you through your day with an extra little kick in your step.

We want to capture your family just as they are, with all their quirks, curiosities, and expressions. We work extremely hard with an extremely talented team to try and give you stunning images that will put a smile on your face.

A quality portrait photography shoot is the most important part for models to showcase their talent. As part of our portrait photography program, you will work with a highly skilled professional team to create fabulous images that will take your modelling career to new heights.

Amit Chhabra

I am a New Delhi, India based professional photographer specialising in newborn, children, maternity, family and kids photography. My first connection to children photography has always been a nostalgic one – there is such a bit of magic in knowing that images that I am creating for someone’s family becomes an important timeline piece for their history.

As a father of a 10 year old boy, I’m am constantly inspired by his curiosity, inquisitive nature, and boundless energy as he explore the world around him. Many of these moments, I capture through my photography for my family and friends to enjoy as he grow’s and matures. You can see a few of his pictures in my project called Journey of Joy.

I have spent over 15 years overseas and have travelled extensively. During this period I have had the honour of training under some of the best photographers in the US and UK. In short, I love to photograph babies and children. I shoot both on-location and do studio photography. Our photo studio in Delhi is located in Defence Colony, South Delhi.

As they grow, they learn and every new thing that they learn is a precious gift to you; after all nothing can instill more pride and joy in you than the first steps your baby takes!

Your baby will change so much during that first year. In what seems like the blink of an eye, a tiny helpless bundle is transformed into an active and inquisitive toddler. Kids photography sessions are a wonderful way to capture your child’s first milestones and blossoming personality. From quirky smiles and giggles to the excitement of sitting, crawling, and … walking!!

Our Studio

Our state of the art photo studio is located in South Delhi. Our unique combination of creative vision, technological savvy, creative resources and innate style has earned us an enviable reputation. We just focus on taking care of our clients and creating work we can be proud of. We are confident that we have the best photo studio in Delhi where we offer studio portrait photography for expecting mothers, children and newborns.

Our photo studio is housed with some of the best technologies the digital world has to offer. Our equipment includes the Hasselblad H5D camera. For our studio lighting, we use flashes with duration of 1/8000th of a second so that it is safe for our young models.

Our props are hand made and our accessories are imported from all over the world.

Our Style

Today, with an abundance of photographers specialising children’s images, Shipra & Amit are even more intent on identifying the spark of individuality in each person that will separate the finished portrait from the typical and trendy. Our team strives to make our children photography sessions relaxed and enjoyable, while capturing a variety of posed and candid portraits. Infants are encouraged to move around, play, and have fun!

The result is portraiture that makes a clear statement about the personality and essence of the infant. Our children photography portraits avoid gimmicks and special effects in favour of something far more satisfying: dynamic expression and composition sprinkled with delicate simplicity. With an eye for perfect moments and unique perspectives, we create infant portraits that are beautiful, intimate, and emotional.

Our style of photography is relaxed and very informal and our team understands that when working with infants and children it is very important to be flexible, so we are happy to work within your routine as much as possible. We don’t place any time limits on a kids photography session – the average session involving children can take 2 to 6 hours.

Pre-Shoot Discussion

The pre-shoot discussion helps you establish a level of comfort and also walk you through the process of what will happen on the day of the shoot. We also encourage you to read our terms and conditions listed in the FAQ page to get a better understanding of our deliverables and terms.
Feel free to discuss with us our product offerings and we will be happy to show you sample products that are available in the studio.

Post Session

After the modelling portfolio shoot, the proof images will be made available to you for selection.
Once you have made your selection, the images will be retouched and printed.

The Equipment

Portfolio Photography shots are taken with a Hasselblad H5D, a medium format digital camera, or a Nikon D810 camera.

These cameras are considered to be among the best available, resulting in an incredible digital image.
I’ve designed what I believe is the best portrait lighting available. It allows complete control for me to do whatever I need to do for each particular client.

The Session

The number of themes / looks will depend on your selection of package.
We don’t put a strict limit on the number of shots we take per look, and generally shoot each look until we feel we’ve got it covered.
If you have a specific requirement we will discuss that during the pre-shoot discussion.
Part of our process is to review the session with you as we go. We will inspect the photographs and make necessary adjustments to ensure you get the most from the shoot.

Posing Guidance

We have experience photographing 1000′s of international models and understand that posing is one of the toughest aspects of creating a portfolio.
Badly posed shots lose vital energy, which translates into weaker impact.
We provide guidance throughout your photo-shoot, to help you create the most flattering poses.
Our creative team has years of experience in dealing with children and adults and will make you help you pose to get the most flattering impacts from the shoot.

HASSELBLAD H5D

The Hasselblad H5D-50 Medium Format DSLR Camera is the 50MP model of the new Hasselblad H system of medium format DSLR cameras. The H5D-50 model contains a 36.7 x 49.1 mm 50MP (6132 x 8176) CCD sensor. With its large light path, it creates high resolution images with great clarity and color rendering without gradation breaks. Hasselblad’s Natural Color Solution (HNCS) creates accurate colors, with natural skin tones and an ability to capture specific product colors and tones that are difficult to reproduce.

Fujifilm GFX 50S

Characterized by its large sensor, advanced imaging capabilities, and modular design, the GFX 50S from Fujifilm is a unique medium format mirrorless camera that is highly versatile and distinctly portable. At the heart of the GFX camera system is the 43.8 x 32.9mm 51.4MP CMOS sensor, which pairs with the X-Processor Pro image processor to produce files with extremely wide dynamic range and high resolution, as well as an extended sensitivity range of ISO 50-102400 for working in difficult lighting conditions. The sensor’s large form factor also achieves a unique three-dimensional look with especially smooth tonal and color transitions.

PANASONIC LUMIX GH5

The professional grade Panasonic lumix GH5 4K mirrorless camera offers over 28 lumix and Leica compact lens options built on the next-generation (ILC) interchangeable lens camera standard [Micro four Thirds] pioneered by Panasonic. Its “mirrorless” design enables a lighter, more compact camera body that includes cutting-edge 4K 60P (4:2:0 8-bit) and 30P (4:2:2 10-bit) in-camera cinematic video, 5GHz Wi-Fi + Bluetooth for fast connection and image transfer, lightning fast DFD focusing, dual I.S. 2.0 stabilization and exposure technologies not possible with traditional DSLRs. With the exclusive lumix 4K photo (8MP, 30/60 fps) & brand new 6K photo mode (18MP, 30 fps), simply pause that perfect moment from video to produce printable high resolution photos.

NIKON D850

Inside the Nikon D850 is an all-new 45.7-megapixel full-frame (FX-format) CMOS sensor, which does away with an optical low-pass filter. It packs gapless on-chip micro-lenses, with a backside-illuminated architecture to maximise its light-gathering capabilities. Where the D810 could shoot natively between ISO 64-12,800 (expandable to ISO 32-51,200), the D850 now offers a standard sensitivity range of ISO 64-25,600, expandable to ISO 32-102,400.

NIKON D810

The level of detail and sharpness, the wide dynamic range and rich tonality in nearly any light is simply staggering—almost unimaginable until now. It features a 36.3MP FX-format CMOS sensor without an Optical Low Pass Filter for particularly sharp and detailed still imaging. With the addition of the EXPEED 4 Image Processor, performance speed is increased compared to the EXPEED 3 and noise is effectively reduced throughout the ISO range.

Sony A7 III

he Alpha a7 III Mirrorless Digital Camera from Sonyis a well-rounded camera suitable for both photo and video applications in a variety of working situations. Refined for improved speed and low-light performance, the full-frame 24.2MP Exmor R BSI CMOS sensor and BIONZ X image processor pair to realize an impressive 10 fps continuous shooting rate and improved autofocus performance for faster, more reliable subject tracking along with wide frame coverage. This updated Fast Hybrid AF System employs a combination of 693 phase-detection points and 425 contrast-detection areas for quicker acquirement of focus in a variety of lighting conditions, and also maintains focus on subjects more effectively.
