Shoot Information

Please go through the details below to find information that will help you prepare for the shoot

SHOOT BOOKING POLICY

You’ll have to confirm the booking by filling our booking form and by making an advance payment of 5,000.

  • Should you cancel or postpone the session within 72 hours of the shoot, for any reason whatsoever, this amount is non-refundable.
  • If you cancel prior to 72 hours, you will get a full refund.
  • If you postpone prior to 72 hours, this amount is adjusted towards your postponed session.

WHAT IS A SETUP?

  • A setup is a combination of a backdrop and relavant props.
  • We do a maximum of 2 changes of clothes per setup.
  • The setup or props are not changed in-between costume changes.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?

You are requested to arrive 15 minutes prior to your session start time.

We do back-to-back shoots everyday an if you get late, there is a high probability that your session will not complete and will have to be downsized.

IMAGES INFORMATION

WHAT IS YOUR LOGO POLICY?

  • All edited images will have our logo in either black or white colour within the digital photograph. The position of the logo is in one of the 4 corners of the photograph.
  • The logo position cannot be chosen by clients and neither will the position be changed once the images are edited.
  • In the client form you can choose to purchase images without logos. If you select that option, images will be provided to you without any logos.
    Images we print for you do not have any logos.
  • Unedited images do not contain any logos.

WHAT ARE THE IMAGE SIZES YOU DELIVER?

  • Unedited Images– File Format JPEG – Long Edge 2048 Pixels – 300 pixels per inch – Approximate File Size 2MB
  • Edited Images– File Format JPEG – The size of such images depend on the camera we use. Generally, these files are over 15MB in size so you could print a 24inch posters from such files without any quality loss.
  • Camera RAW images are only given to clients as part of an advertising or commercial photoshoot. Incase you want Camera RAW images you will need to purchase the Image
  • Copyrights while filling out the shoot booking form.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF SELECTION / DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHS?

  • If you are looking for a photographer to take 100′s of pictures in every set then that’s not us. We strive to focus our efforts on quality of edited images rather than quantity of delivered images. We believe that a handful of stunning edited images is much better than hundreds of images.
    Keeping the above in mind, every package of ours has a pre-defined number of edited images. It is our endeavour to provide you these handful of edited images that will be the quality images that we focus to deliver
  • During a shoot we may click images that look similar or are continuous shots. We will deliver all these images as part of the selection images so that you, as a parent, can select the best expression that you like from such a series.
  • The objective of giving the client the original images from the shoot is only to help them select the best images they like from the set of images. The original images should not be treated as a deliverable as their purpose is to only help identify the final product, i.e. the edited images from the shoot.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN PHOTO RETOUCHING?

  • Our photo retouching process is limited to the following
    • Color Correction
    • Light Correction
    • Basic Skin Retouching
  • We do not take requests for
    • photo manipulations or background replacements
    • making changes to the actual physical appearance of the subjects we photograph
    • adding additional elements to a photograph
  • The package you select will also contains prints. While we recommend that prints are selected from retouched images, we do leave the decision up to the client to select if they want to print images that are not retouched.
  • Selecting print images that are not in your retouch list will not increase your count of images to retouch.
  • There are certain instances where you might ask us to choose the best images for editing. In such a scenario we wish to inform you that “Best” is very subjective. We encourage clients to select the images themselves. However, in cases where clients request us to select the “best” images, our selection will be final.

HOW DO YOU DELIVER PHOTOS?

  • We use a cloud based service to transfer all photographs.
  • You will receive an email from us with a link to download your images. Once you receive this link, you generally have 30 days to download the link before the link expires.
  • The images can only be downloaded on a computer as the image size is extremely large. Once you download them on your computer, you can transfer them to your mobile device.
  • We do not provide images in USB/Pen drives as due to security issues we do not insert external pen drives into our systems
  • We do not have CD burners. The only way to receive images is through a cloud based service

HOW DO YOU DELIVER PRINTS & PRODUCTS?

  • You will need pick up the prints from our studio.
  • Given that our smallest print is approx 12×10 inches in size, we do not recommend sending such prints by courier as there is a likelihood of the prints getting damaged during transit.
  • If you would like your photographs couriered, then you will need to arrange for a courier pick-up service. In this case, the courier company you arrange will pick up the prints from our studio and will package and ship them to the destination you want. Please note, we do not courier prints directly and cannot arrange a courier service for you. Neither do we assume any responsibility of prints getting lost or damaged if the courier pick up is arranged by you.
  • We have limited space available in our studio to store prints & product. We are only able to hold your prints for 2 weeks from the date your prints are ready. If you do not pick up your prints within 2 weeks, we will assume that you no longer want the prints and in this case the prints & products will be discarded and no refunds will be issued in such a scenario

PROCESSING TIMELINES

  • Our processing timeline starts on the date your invoice is closed. The payment of the shoot (including grow with me) is due on the date of the shoot. If your payment is delayed, the processing timeline listed below will start on the date your payment is received.
  • 1 week after the session or invoice closing date (whichever is later), you’ll receive the original images from the shoot
  • Once you have made your selection of images and provided it to us, we will deliver the edited images within 3 weeks.
  • We do offer a “Rush my Order” service which allows you to get your order completed within 10 days. Please discuss with us during the pre-shoot conversation should you want to avail this service.
  • We use a cloud based service to transfer all photographs.
  • Once edited images are approved and you specify the requirement for prints / products.
    • Prints and products are not covered under the RUSH service
    • Prints are ready within a week
      Domestic Albums take upto 4 weeks
    • International Albums take upto 10 weeks
    • Products take upto 2 weeks
  • Your order can only be completed when you timely submit your requirements for images required for editing and printing. We can only store your data for 90 days from the date of the shoot. Incase you do not submit your requirements in 90 days, your package will close and we would not be liable for any refunds nor would you claim any returns or exchanges.
  • We have limited space available in our studio to store prints & product. We are only able to hold your prints & products for 2 weeks from the date your prints are ready. If you do not pick up your prints within 2 weeks, we will assume that you no longer want the prints and in this case the prints & products will be discarded and no refunds will be issued in such a scenario. There would be no returns or exchanges due if such an event arises.

PAYMENT TERMS

  • We accept Cheques, Electronic Transfers (RTGS / NEFT / IMPS), and Cash.
  • We DO NOT have a debit / credit card machine.
  • The balance payment is due on the day of the shoot.

NEWBORN INFORMATION

HOW LONG WILL THE SHOOT TAKE?

  • Newborn and baby sessions may take between 2 and 3 hours as they don’t always like to fit snuggly into a given time slot.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING ALONG?

  • Baby essentials, extra diapers and blankets should be carried for the shoot

MATERNITY INFORMATION

CLOTHING

  • You can choose from either our outfits or use your own outfits. Our outfit sizes range from Medium to Extra Large
  • If you are wearing an off shoulder dress, please carry a strapless bra which should be either in nude colour or the colour of the dress
  • Our dresses are NOT padded. You should carry padded bras should you want.
  • It is always advisable to carry underclothes matching the colour of the dress chosen by you. Alternatively nude / skin colour is the best alternate option.
  • Once you decide on your outfits, you need to have a discussion with us about the styling of your husband and your children. Their outfits would be coordinated with the outfits the mum is wearing.
  • Our maternity dresses page will have a sizing chart listed. It is important that our clients measure themselves before selecting a dress. We don’t allow trials we it would be unfair on the next client to wear a dress that may have been tried / worn by someone else.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO CARRY ALONG

  • Copy of your ultrasound if you want to use it as a prop.
  • Your underclothes matching the colours of your dresses.
  • Carry flats/heels if you are comfortable wearing them.
  • Any other item that you may have purchased for the baby that you want to captured. We will be also provide maternity props.

INFANT & CHILDREN INFORMATION

  • We do not provide clothing for infants & children
  • Clothing is a key element for beautiful, timeless portraits. We love to photograph infants in a cute diaper cover, well-fitting favourite outfit, or a simple onesie.
  • The child should wear what they are comfortable wearing. If they are not comfortable in their attire, they will not be able to give happy pictures
  • We love neutrals, creams and soft pastel colours.

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE THINGS I SHOULD GET ALONG?

  • Besides the clothing and accessories, we recommend that you get your child’s favorite toy, special stuffed animal, or any other object that may attract the child’s attention.
  • We also recommend that you get your baby’s food along. If s/he is feeding, we do have a private feeding area in our studio.

Basic rules to clothing

  • Rule #1: You have to love it! I don’t want to shoot anything that you don’t feel comfortable wearing.
  • Rule #2: If you don’t feel comfortable in it, you won’t shoot well while wearing it.
  • Rule #3: Remember, be yourself because this is where you can get some of your own personal style into the shot.

CAKE SMASH INFORMATION

CLOTHING

  • Boys : for his cake smash setup there are 2 changes.
    • 1 for pre cake smashing where he can be in any nice shirt with denims, or dungaree. In this outfit cake won’t be there.
    • While he starts smashing the cake – the look will be bare chest.You have to pick any shorts with him and pair it with any accessory like bow/tie/suspender.
    • We do not provide our accessories for cake smash
  • Girls : for her cake smash theme we need two changes – one for pre cake smash where we click few pictures without cake. And one while she will smash the cake.
    • We don’t photograph girls bare-chested.
    • Frilly frocks, tutu’s, bikini swimsuit, dresses, and casuals all look good with cake smash.
    • We also make tutu dresses in case you want to consider – these need to be pre-ordered.
    • With cake smash dress you need to get a matching headband too. For pre cake smash we provide the headband.
    • We do not provide our accessories for cake smash
  • Its best for the child to wear what they are most comfortable wearing
  • You may refer to our Instagram for our cake smash work

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING

  • Besides the child’s costumes, please carry extra diapers and wipes.
  • Please also carry a towel.
  • Accessories matching the outfit for cake smash
  • To keep the baby entertained, please carry some toys that the baby enjoys.

BATHING FACILITIES

  • We do not have bathing facilities in our studio. But we do have a large sink with both hot and cold water which is sufficient to clean the baby using a towel

IS THERE SOMETHING I CAN DO TO PREPARE MY CHILD FOR THE SESSION

  • It is a good idea to do a trial run at home a few days before with a cupcake with frosting. Some kids have never had sweets before, or have a hard time feeling dirty or messy. Giving them a chance to experience these sensations for the first time at home can make it easier on the day of the session.

WHAT ABOUT COLOURS AND THEMES

  • The colour and theme are planned based on the clothes that the child will wear for the session.
  • The cake is designed and ceated in accordance with the colours of the clothes and the theme of the session
  • If you have any special requirements, please discuss the same with us.

Clothing Guidelines for Family

For mum & dad – Neutrals/light colors are always the best for shoots. Creams, grays, light blues, and soft pinks look the best. Stay away from large logos (or any writing), patterns, and saturated colours

Mum, wear what you feel best in.  It may be a flowy dress, a layered scarf, or even your favorite white tee.

As for dads, have him wear what is complimentary to your outfit. If you are wearing solids, he could wear something with a light pattern, like a sweater or button-down shirt. It’s ideal to coordinate, but not totally match for these photos. Denim shirts always look great!

Baby also to wear colour coordinated clothes for these pictures.

Clothing we Provide

  • Newborn (upto 30 days old) – we provide all the custumes for the shoots including wraps and dresses.
  • Maternity – we provide gowns, dresses, and drapes for Medium, Large, and X-Large Sizes. Our drapes are free size and can be worn by plus size models as well. Clothing for the husband need to be brought by the client
  • Infants & Children – we provide accessories only. Clothes for infant and children need to be brought by the parents
  • Cake Smash & Milk Bath – Clothing and accessories need to be arranged by the parents
